FIST Admission Guidelines

Admissions Open Fall 2025

At FIST, we are committed to providing quality education that fosters academic excellence, professional skills, and personal growth. Our admission process is designed to identify talented and motivated students who are eager to pursue higher education in a dynamic learning environment.

Undergraduate Programs Offered

FIST offers Bachelor of Science (BS) programs in the following disciplines:

  1. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
  2. Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering
  3. Bachelor of Science in Business Administration
  4. Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance
  5. Bachelor of Science in Psychology
  6. Bachelor of Science in Media & Communication Studies

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for admission to any BS program at FIST/COMSATS, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Academic Qualification:
  • Candidates must have successfully completed Intermediate (HSSC) or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 50% marks in the Intermediate or equivalent qualification is required.
  1. Entrance Test Requirement:
  • Applicants must have a valid NTS (National Testing Service) test score or as per the admission policy of CUI and FIST.

Application Process

  1. Online Application:
  • Candidates must fill out the online admission form available on the FIST website(www.fist.edu.pk) within the specified deadline.

       2. Submission of Documents:

  • Applicants are required to upload scanned copies of their academic transcripts, CNIC/Form-B, recent photographs, and the NTS test result.
  1. Documents Required

For Intermediate and Technical Board*:

  1. Attested copy of the Matriculation Result Card.
  2. Attested copy of the Intermediate Part 1 and 2 Result Card or DAE (from a recognized Technical Board).
  3. Clear copy of the B-Form / CNIC.
  4. Clear copy of the Father / Guardian CNIC.
  5. Recent passport-size photograph with white background (in case of non-compliance, the form will be rejected).
  6. Paid receipt of the Application Processing Fee.
  7. Intermediate Part 2 result awaiting students are eligible to apply on a provisional basis. IBCC attested copies of the official Matriculation and Intermediate Mark Sheets, or the Technical Board Result (whichever applicable) will be required later on from the admitted students only.

 Note: All documents submitted must be attested by a Gazetted Officer.

For O/A Level, High School, and International Bachelor of Studies (BS) IB students**:

  1. Attested copy of 8 O Level subjects – Should include English, Mathematics and 3 compulsory subjects (Islamiyat, Pakistan Studies, and Urdu).
    2. Attested copy of the O Level Equivalence issued by the IBCC.
    3. Attested copy of 3 A Level subjects (No AS accepted).
    4. Attested copy of the O and A Level Equivalence issued by the IBCC
    or if applicable
    5. Attested copy of the High School or IB Diploma (whichever applicable), Transcript, and IBCC issued Equivalence Certificate.
    6. Clear copy of the B-Form / CNIC.
    7. Clear copy of the Father / Guardian CNIC.
    8. Recent passport-size photograph with white background (in case of non-compliance, the form will be rejected).
    9. Paid receipt of the Application Processing Fee of Rs. ——————

**A Level result awaiting students are eligible to apply on a provisional basis.

  1. Merit List & Admission Offer:
  • A merit list will be displayed based on academic performance and NTS test scores.
  • Selected candidates will receive an admission offer along with details of fee submission and enrollment.
  1. Fee Payment & Enrollment:
  • Upon acceptance of the admission offer, students must submit the required fee within the given deadline to confirm their enrollment.

Important Notes:

  • Meeting the minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee admission; selection is based on merit.
  • Candidates awaiting their final results may apply for provisional admission, subject to submission of their final transcripts before the deadline.
  • Any falsification of documents will result in disqualification from the admission process.

  • In accordance with COMSATS and HEC regulations, the minimum duration for all BS programs is four years (eight semesters), while the maximum allowable duration is six years (twelve semesters).
  • All BS programs offered at FIST are affiliated with COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI). As a result, the degree requirements, course outlines, program objectives, and learning outcomes will align fully with those established by CUI, ensuring consistency and adherence to their academic standards.
